Custom home renovation starts with a conversation to understand your vision and needs. We'll assess your pain points to best understand your goals and develop solutions. Over the course of this conversation, we'll mutually determine if Payne & Tompkins Design Renovations is the best fit for your project. Finally, we'll discuss if we can provide the work that you want at an investment that you're comfortable with.

In the initial design process, we'll review your floor plan options to determine a general plan. Our certified and experienced design professionals will develop 3D renderings of the space to help visualize the proposed enhancements. Next, we'll provide a preliminary proposal and scope of work.

With the design agreement in hand, we'll collaborate to select all of the materials for your project as well as the plumbing, lighting, and accessories at our industry-leading design center. Our Project Development Team will be working to secure any necessary approvals and permits so we can begin as soon as your design is complete.

At this point, your Project Manager will  create your construction schedule  in great detail. We'll begin with the demolition of your space, construct the framing, install the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. The next steps will include the drywall, painting, flooring, cabinetry, tile and countertops installation. The final details such as light fixtures and cabinet hardware will be installed.

After a thorough punch list walkthrough and cleaning, it will be time to move back into your space!

As an optional service to help complete your home renovation, we’re thrilled to help you complete your vision through space planning, organization, and furniture layout. We'll assist you with the supply and selection of custom furniture, upholstery, and choosing the perfect window treatments. By planning your remodel all the way through the end, moving back into your space will be quicker and more fulfilling.
